Tournament Rules
Marsh Masters the Gulf Coast’s summer-long saltwater fishing tournament built for anglers who’d rather be on the water than standing in line at a weigh station. From June 15 through August 31, chase speckled trout, redfish, and sheepshead anywhere along the Gulf Coast.
Free entry, anytime, anywhere.
All submissions must 1) be photographed on a tournament-grade ruler with mouths closed and eyes visible, and 2) include a photo of the angler posing with the fish for identity verification. Points will be deducted for poor fish handling, open mouths, or covered eyes. Competitors are encouraged to post at least once a week on the app throughout the tournament to maximize winnings. To be eligible, photos of fish must include “#Pelican Log” or “#Marsh Masters”, written or typed on paper, in the photo. This will help us ensure that contestants aren’t reusing old photos.

Pelican Log helps you stay on fish instead of guessing. Track what’s biting, water conditions, tides, weather, and the spots producing all summer long. The more trips you log, the more dialed-in your pattern gets. Whether you’re chasing a tournament check or just trying to put more fish in the boat, Pelican Log gives marsh fishermen the kind of intel usually earned the hard way.

Points are awarded solely based on the measured length of each fish. Please note that the eligible target species changes weekly. Only submissions for the designated species will be accepted. For example, Redfish entries will not be accepted during a Speckled Trout week!

Winnings will be disbursed the following week should there be no disputes. Winners will be mentioned in club announcements and notified via email.

Competitions are held weekly from 12:00 AM CST Monday through 11:59 PM CST Friday. Weekly winners are determined by the longest eligible fish submitted during that competition period. In the event of a tie, each tied angler's next-longest eligible catch from that week will be compared. This process will continue until a winner is determined. For best results, try to submit more than one catch each week.
