Marsh Masters Terms and Conditions
1. Tournament Overview
The Marsh Masters Tournament (“Tournament”) is a skill-based promotional contest hosted through the Pelican Log platform. Participants compete by submitting eligible catches and engaging within the tournament community in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and all applicable tournament rules.
This Tournament is intended to reward participant skill, consistency, community engagement, and adherence to tournament guidelines. It is not a game of chance, lottery, or gambling activity.
2. Eligibility
Participants must:
Be at least 18 years old or be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian;
Possess any required fishing licenses or permits;
Comply with all local, state, and federal fishing laws and regulations;
Maintain an active Pelican Log account in good standing.
Pelican Log reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time.
3. Skill-Based Tournament
Winners are determined based on participant performance, verified submissions, engagement metrics, and/or tournament criteria established by the event organizer.
Tournament outcomes are based on participant skill, effort, strategy, timing, consistency, and adherence to tournament rules. No winner is selected randomly.
4. Participation Requirements
By participating, users agree to:
Follow all posted tournament rules;
Submit only original content and legitimate catches;
Participate safely and responsibly;
Refrain from fraudulent, deceptive, or unsportsmanlike conduct.
Participants are solely responsible for:
Their own safety;
Boating and equipment operation;
Weather and water conditions;
Compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Pelican Log does not supervise, direct, or control participants in the field.
5. Content Submission & Verification
All submitted photos, videos, measurements, and catch information must accurately represent the participant’s catch.
Pelican Log reserves the right to:
Review submissions for authenticity;
Request additional verification;
Remove fraudulent or misleading entries;
Disqualify participants for rule violations or suspected misconduct.
Any attempt to manipulate engagement metrics, falsify catches, use another participant’s content, or otherwise gain an unfair advantage may result in immediate disqualification.
6. Community Voting & Engagement
Certain prizes may incorporate community engagement metrics such as likes, reactions, or votes within the Pelican Log platform.
Participants may encourage friends, family, and community members to engage with their submissions, provided such engagement is obtained legitimately and without the use of bots, fake accounts, purchased engagement, or fraudulent activity.
Pelican Log reserves the right to invalidate manipulated or artificial engagement.
7. Prizes
Prizes may include gift cards, merchandise, promotional items, or other rewards as described in the tournament announcement.
Prizes:
Are non-transferable;
May not be redeemed for cash unless required by law;
May be substituted at Pelican Log’s discretion with a prize of equal or greater value.
Pelican Log reserves the right to withhold prizes in cases of suspected fraud, ineligibility, or rule violations.
8. Assumption of Risk
Fishing, boating, and outdoor recreation involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Water hazards;
Weather conditions;
Equipment failure;
Wildlife encounters;
Physical injury.
By participating, each participant voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the Tournament.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pelican Log, its affiliates, employees, contractors, sponsors, and partners shall not be liable for:
Injuries;
Property damage;
Lost or stolen equipment;
Accidents;
Delayed or failed submissions;
Technical malfunctions;
Disputes between participants.
Participation is voluntary and conducted independently by each participant.
10. Media & Content Rights
By submitting content to the Tournament, participants grant Pelican Log a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, repost, display, and promote submitted content in connection with the Tournament and Pelican Log marketing efforts.
Participants retain ownership of their original content.
11. Right to Modify or Cancel
Pelican Log reserves the right to:
Modify tournament rules;
Adjust scoring or eligibility criteria;
Suspend or cancel the Tournament;
Disqualify participants acting in bad faith.
Any changes will be communicated through the Pelican Log platform where reasonably practical.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By participating in the Tournament, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and all associated tournament rules.
